Pexco in 2013 acquired the medical injection molder Spectrum Plastics and took its first extensive step into other plastic processing technologies beyond profile extrusion.  Its Minneapolis operation is the Pexco center of excellence for injection molding.  Specializing in medical and aerospace & defense injection molding products, the Spectrum business processes a wide swath of advanced resin materials, ranging from polycarbonate, ULTEM®, PEEK and implantable PEEK to bioabsorbable PLA.  The operation has extensive experience with metal-to-plastic conversions for customers.  It also assembles and packages medical product solutions for customers as an ISO registered 13485 contract manufacturer.
