Pexco Completes Fourth Acquisition of the Year, Acquires RDC Cytex of Houston, Texas
ATLANTA (December 2, 2011) -- Pexco LLC, a leading North American extruder for custom thermoplastic applications, has acquired RDC Cytex, Inc. of Houston. RDC Cytex is a custom profile extruder specializing in retail point-of-purchase display fixtures. Following its acquisition of AllWest Plastics in July, this deal is the fourth acquisition for Pexco in 2011 and its largest to date.

RDC Cytex was founded in 1990 by David Burg, the seller, and has since become a leader in thermoplastic profile extrusions for retail merchandising. RDC Cytex supplies some of North America’s largest retailers with in-stock and custom extruded shelving display accessories, including sign boards, shelf strip holders, and banner hangers. The company employs over 70 individuals in Houston and Evansville, Indiana. Its Houston manufacturing facility features a 122,000 square foot manufacturing space with 20 extrusion lines, processing resins such as butyrate, styrene, and PVC.
