Tacoma, Wash. (March 31, 2010) – Pexco has introduced a round traffic channelizer post that offers increased visibility and long-term durability. The Davidson® DP 200 channelizer post is a 3-inch round polyurethane post that provides 360 degrees of reflectivity visibility to improve traffic safety in all conditions. Channelizer posts save lives by properly directing traffic and reducing the chance of accidents in many locations. Highly visible day and night, these posts clearly delineate driving lanes with bright colors and reflective sheeting.
The DP 200 channelizer post is constructed of highly durable thermoplastic polyurethane that provides enhanced strength and durability in all weather conditions. It rebounds fully after being struck, unlike heavier steel posts that often shear off on contact. The DP 200 post has no metal parts to rust or seize, which decreases maintenance time and replacement costs.
The DP 200 has been NTPEP tested and meets MUTCD requirements for channelizing devices, and meets the requirements of NCHRP 350 for Category 1 Devices.
According to Peter Speer, Vice President of Sales for traffic control products, "The DP 200 evolved began as a request from customers who have grown to rely on Davidson channelizer posts but wanted a round post to provide full visibility."
