Several organizational ownership and name changes soon followed. In 1997, the company name was changed to Bunzl Extrusions Inc., in 2005 to Filtrona Extrusions Inc., and in 2009 to Pexco LLC, an investment of Saw Mill Capital Partners. On August 9th, 2012, Pexco was acquired by Odyssey Investment Partners, LLC from Saw Mill Capital. On May 9, 2017 Pexco was acquired by Kohlberg & Company, LLC and became part of the newly launched Spectrum Plastics Group, which combined the formerly separate business entities of Pexco LLC, PPC Industries, and Kelpac Medical under one name. On February 1, 2018, Spectrum Plastics Group was acquired by AEA Investors. On April 9, 2018, while still under the ownership of AEA Investors, Pexco LLC separated from Spectrum Plastics Group, returning to its roots and core competencies as a purely Industrial custom extruder.
