Common Fence Slat and Enhancement Materials
High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
Core extrusion material for many of Pexco’s slats. HDPE offers excellent resistance to UV degradation, weathering, and environmental pollutants.
Color pigments + UV inhibitors
Incorporated into the slat material to protect from sun damage and fading. These additives help keep the product looking fresh and maintain structural integrity.
Ethyl Vinyl Acetate (EVA)
EVA is used to keep flexible components bendable yet resilient. This combines rigidity (from the HDPE structure) with flexible zones (via EVA) to enable better locking, impact resistance, and longer life in dynamic installations.

Case Study
Custom Fence Slats for FedEx Field Stadium
Challenge
FedEx sought a visually striking and durable fencing solution for its stadium that would promote its brand identity while meeting strict structural and safety requirements.
Solution
To meet the unique requirements of a stadium fencing project, Pexco’s PDS® Fence Division partnered with Long Fence and Master Halco to develop a customized privacy solution. The project featured custom-fabricated Top Locking slats in three FedEx brand colors, purple, orange, and green. These were designed to integrate seamlessly with Master Halco’s vinyl-coated chain link mesh. Each slat was engineered with dual locking channels at the top and bottom, enhancing both security and wind resistance. Manufactured from durable, long-lasting materials, these premium slats would provide a more robust and visually consistent alternative to traditional windscreens, helping the installation meet both performance and branding goals.
Outcome
The finished installation enhanced both safety and brand visibility for FedEx Field. The project’s success led to new opportunities for Pexco to deliver custom-branded fence enhancements for major corporations nationwide.
