What sets the Winged Slat® apart is its unique “winged” design. The slat utilizes flexible extensions on either side of a rigid tubular slat body that increases the surface area covered by each slat. This structure provides the maximum coverage we offer, significantly reducing visibility through the fence and boosting security for homes, businesses, and public spaces alike.
Advanced Design and Engineering
Each Winged Slat® is crafted with durability in mind. The core of the slat is a rigid flat tubular body reinforced with interior “legs” that provide extra structural support. Attached to this core are resilient, flexible wing portions, serrated for added grip during installation. These serrations improve locking power, ensuring a snug fit within the chain link mesh.
The slats are manufactured to be 2 inches shorter than the overall height of the fence, allowing for easy vertical insertion. They come in standard heights ranging from 4 to 8 feet, providing flexibility for various fencing applications.
These slats are extruded using High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and infused with color pigments and UV inhibitors to ensure long-term resistance to sun damage and fading. Additionally, the wings are made from Ethyl Vinyl Acetate (EVA), a softer plastic that keeps them flexible and resilient over time.
