Pexco LLC Acquires Recto Molded Products and Legacy Extrusions to Expand Engineered Injection Molding Capabilities

Acquisition adds complex injection molding, tooling, assembly, and thermoplastic extrusion capabilities for OEM customers across industrial manufacturing markets.

ATLANTA, Ga., September 2, 2026 – Pexco LLC has acquired Recto Molded Products and Legacy Extrusions, expanding its capabilities in complex injection molding, tooling, assembly, and engineered thermoplastic solutions for OEM manufacturers. The Cincinnati-based companies bring more than a century of manufacturing expertise, advanced production technologies, and value-added services that strengthen Pexco’s ability to support customers from product design through full-scale production.

Founded in 1919, Recto brings more than 100 years of manufacturing expertise and operates injection molding presses ranging from 55 to 500 tons. Recto Molded Products has built a reputation as a trusted manufacturing partner for customers requiring complex molded components, engineering support, tooling expertise, and secondary assembly and finishing operations. The company serves customers in markets including warehouse automation, conveying systems, inventory management systems, building and construction products, and other industrial applications. Its capabilities include injection molding, tooling, design-for-manufacturing support, prototyping, machining, assembly, pad printing, hot stamping, finishing, and custom packaging solutions. Legacy Extrusions has provided high-quality custom profile extrusions since 1996, and offers a range of shapes, sizes, and value-add services.

“Customers increasingly want a manufacturing partner that can support a product from concept and tooling through molding, assembly, and production,” said Sam Patel, Chief Executive Officer of Pexco. “Recto’s engineering expertise, tooling capabilities, and century-long reputation for quality significantly expand our ability to deliver complete engineered manufacturing solutions to our OEM partners.”

Key Benefits of the Acquisition:

  • Expands Pexco’s complex injection molding capabilities and materials
  • Adds another full-service tool room and additional tooling expertise
  • Enhances secondary assembly and finishing services
  • Strengthens support for OEM manufacturers
  • Broadens engineered thermoplastic solutions

The addition of these capabilities strengthens Pexco’s ability to serve customers seeking a broader range of engineered thermoplastic and injection molded solutions from a single manufacturing partner.

The acquisition further supports Pexco’s strategy of expanding its portfolio of highly engineered plastics manufacturing solutions. By combining Pexco’s existing injection molding capabilities with Recto’s expertise in complex molded components and value-added manufacturing services, the company will be better positioned to support customers throughout the product lifecycle, from design and prototyping through full-scale production.
