Feather Lock®

Each Feather Lock® slat has a proprietary self-locking “feather” section molded into the top of the slat. It grips the wire mesh as the slat is inserted, so no separate locking channel is needed, and it creates extra screening at the top of the fence — at eye level, where it counts most. Feather Lock, Winged Slat® and HedgeLink® are Pexco’s three self-locking styles.

Feather Lock® slats are cut 1½″ shorter than the overall height of the fence — the shortest reduction in the PDS® line, so don’t reuse a length from another product. A 6-foot fence takes 70½″ slats. Feather Lock is stocked in 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12-foot heights, with special heights available on request.

Feather Lock® is made for 2″ mesh in 9, 11 or 11½ gauge, and in a 2¼″ version for 2¼″ mesh in the same gauges. It comes in nine standard colors: black, white, gray, beige, brown, redwood, green, royal blue and light blue. The 2″ version gives 82 slats per bag; the 2¼″ version gives 78. Either covers 10 linear feet.
