Safety Top Cap LITE®
Pexco’s Safety Top Cap-LITE® is our most economic yet durable, plastic fence cap profile, typically featured in a safety yellow color. It is primarily used to cover the top of the chain link fence on baseball outfields, to protect the ballplayer against bodily harm.
Safety Top Cap-LITE® serves two purposes: First, the unique teardrop shape design provides protection against bodily injury by covering the exposed knuckles or barbs on top of a chain-link fence. Second, it displays nicely as a decorative trim piece to complement any galvanized or colored chain link fence system.

Fence Safety Top Cap LITE® Products Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between Safety Top Cap and Safety Top Cap LITE?
Both are manufactured from Pexco PDS® HDPE plastic with UV stabilizers, both install through three pre-drilled holes per piece, and both carry a 15-year, pro-rata warranty. Safety Top Cap™ is the premium version — a heavy-weight open “P” profile, 5½″ high with a .070″ wall, fastened with steel hog-rings, 5 caps per bag covering 40 linear feet per box. Safety Top Cap LITE® is the economical version — a teardrop profile, 4″ high with a .060″ wall, fastened with zip-ties, 10 caps per bag covering 80 linear feet per box.
How do I install Safety Top Cap LITE?
Snap it over the top of the fence and fasten it to the wire mesh with the plastic zip ties included in each package, through the three pre-drilled holes on each piece. Each bag contains 10 top caps and 40 zip ties, and one box covers 80 linear feet.
